Clipping (republier des extraits payés à la vue)
Clipping means cutting long content (live, show, podcast) into short excerpts and republishing them on social networks. In its paid version, a creator or brand opens a campaign: it supplies the content, sets a rate per 1,000 views and a budget, and clippers publish the excerpts on their own accounts. The brand approves each video, then pays for the counted views. The principle: the same content shows up everywhere, published by many different accounts.
Strengths
- The same content reaches more people without the creator posting everywhere
- A clipper can start with no content of their own: the campaign supplies the excerpts
Limitations
- Earnings not guaranteed: they depend on views, approval of each video and the remaining budget
- Earnings figures going around mostly come from guides or videos that sell a tool or a course
Best for
- Judging a video that promises to earn money by clipping, before spending time on it
