LLM (Large Language Model)
The engine behind Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. An LLM ("large language model") has digested huge amounts of text, and from that it guesses the most likely word that comes next, then the next, one word at a time. That is what lets it write, summarize, code or translate. But it completes text, it does not "understand" and checks nothing: hence the mistakes it states with confidence.
