Choose where to host your site for free, and know what free forbids
The “7 free hosts” lists ([Instagram reel Ddove6tDUa5](https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ddove6tDUa5/)) line up services that do different jobs. This kit sorts them by what you put online: files, an app, a server, a machine. For each, the fine print: no shop, no commercial use, a meter that switches everything off, a server that falls asleep.
Why
Free has no price, it has a rule. GitHub Pages forbids a shop, Vercel Hobby forbids any commercial use, Netlify takes your sites down when credits hit zero, Render puts your server to sleep, Oracle reclaims the machine that does nothing. None of these rules is hidden, they are just written where nobody reads. The lists going around rank them from simplest to sturdiest, and that is the right order.
