Google Calendar MCP
MCP server for Google Calendar from Claude Code. Allows reading the calendar, creating events, and managing availability. Useful for synchronising project milestones with the personal calendar or automatically creating work sessions.
Strengths
- gmail-mcp synergy: read a meeting email → create the event in one command
- Synchronises GSD milestones with the calendar, complete planning visibility
- Availability consultation for planning Claude Code work sessions
Limitations
- Accidental event creation if prompts are too permissive
- Limited value in solo use without integration with third-party tools (Notion, Linear)
Best for
- Sprint planning where GSD milestones need to appear in the calendar
- Freelancers billing by time who want to track project sessions automatically
- Availability check before planning a large autonomous work phase
