Tokscale
A command line tool under the MIT licence (Rust core) that adds up token usage and its cost across more than fifty coding agents: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and the rest. It reads the transcripts each agent leaves on your machine, for instance `~/.claude/projects/` for Claude Code, and prices them from the rates LiteLLM publishes. A public leaderboard exists, but nothing goes there without the `tokscale submit` command.
Strengths
- One total for more than fifty agents, split by model, day, project and session
- Reads local files, no account: nothing leaves without the submit command
- Runs with no install through npx tokscale@latest
Limitations
- A sum, not a diagnosis: it does not say which part of the context costs
- Some agents do not write the project into their traces, so per-project attribution stays empty there
- The displayed cost is a computation on public rates, not your actual subscription bill
