Awesome Design Skills
Curated collection of design-system-oriented Markdown skill files, each file encodes a specific visual style (Glassmorphism, Shadcn, Brutalism, Neon, Vintage...) with its tokens, accessibility rules and component conventions. Per-file install via `npx typeui.sh pull <skill>`. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, skill files follow the Agent Skills open standard.
Strengths
- Cross-agent: the same file works for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, follows Agent Skills open standard
- 7 style families (Professional, Modern, Bold, Morphism, Creative, Themed, Retro), 20+ styles covered
- Selective install: pull only the style of the current project, not 50 MB of unused skills
- Web preview (typeui.sh/design-skills) before pull, see the rendering before committing to the choice
Limitations
- Very young (97 stars, 2026), low bus factor, maintainer longevity to watch
- Uneven quality between styles, some are very complete, others embryonic
- No `init --all` across agents, you pull style by style, agent by agent
Best for
- Quickly prototyping a precise visual style (Glassmorphism, Neon, Brutalism) without hand-writing the design system
- Landing pages or demos where opinionated aesthetics sell better than a generic Shadcn
- Comparing multiple visual directions on the same project, pull three styles, generate three variants, decide
