connect-tool
A skill by Melvynx (MIT licence, inside the ai-maxxing-skills repo) that plugs a tool into your agent without a connector. You type `/connect-tool notion`. It looks for the service's official command line, installs it and signs you in. If the service has none (ClickFunnels, Kajabi), it reads the API documentation and writes a small Python script that calls it with your key. Either way it ends by writing an `<tool>-cli` skill kept in `~/.agents/skills/`, which `~/.claude/skills/` exposes to Claude Code.
Strengths
- Two routes in one command: official CLI if there is one, an API script otherwise
- The skill written at the end (`<tool>-cli`, under 30 lines) is portable: Claude Code, and other agents that read `~/.agents/skills/`
- No permanent context: a command line costs nothing until someone runs it
- Protects the key by design: hidden entry through the script's `login` command, and an instruction to never repeat it in the conversation
Limitations
- On a service without a CLI, the integration code is written by the agent from the docs: read it before use, especially if it touches money or customer data
- Community skill with a single maintainer and a young repo (about twenty stars, 55 commits at the verification date): behaviour can change between versions
- An installed CLI is not an OAuth connector: more control, but also a key or a session to manage yourself
Best for
- Someone driving Notion, Stripe, PostHog or another SaaS from Claude Code who wants to stop stacking connectors
- An ops person or dev who wants the same integration available across several agents without reconfiguring each time
- A niche business tool with neither a connector nor a CLI, that you want to call read-only through its API
