Deep Research (Gemini)
A skill that hands a long research task to Google Gemini's Deep Research agent from Claude Code: it plans, searches, reads and writes a sourced report while you keep working. A run takes two to ten minutes depending on complexity. It needs a Gemini API key (created in Google AI Studio) and a few Python dependencies. It is listed in Composio's skills collection, which points to its author's repository.
Strengths
- Runs in the background: you launch the question and get back to work
- Structured report with its sources, useful for a landscape scan or a literature review
- Installs as a skill: Claude Code launches the research and picks up the report in the same session
Limitations
- Pay per use through the Gemini API: 2 to 3 dollars per standard run, 3 to 5 for a complex analysis according to the author
- You do not choose the sources read: every claim in the report still has to be checked against its page
