Grill Me (Claude Code skill)
I run /grill-me on Claude Code because under-specified features always derail; the skill drills the spec with 30+ questions before any code is written. Strengths
- Blocks code start on a fuzzy spec, first anti-yolo guardrail
- 30+ targeted questions that surface blind spots before commit
- The session output feeds directly into 2PRD or other planning skill
- Open-source MIT, distributed in Matt Pocock skills repo, install via git clone
Limitations
- Real friction at start, "small feature" sessions become long
- Questions are generic by default, less effective without a well-populated project CLAUDE.md
- Distributed outside the official Anthropic registry, no long-term skill API stability guarantee
Best for
- Solo devs who ship under-specified features and spend 3h correcting Claude afterwards
- PM/PO who want to turn a fuzzy brief into Claude-ready specs before handing over the keyboard
- Teams that want to industrialise the feature-request → PRD → GitHub issues pipeline
