Logo Design Skill
A free MIT-licensed skill that turns an agent into an identity designer. It starts with the questions of a brief (exact name and activity, audience, tone, competitors to avoid, constraints), studies the conventions of the sector and bans the clichés that come with it: a coffee brand gets no bean and no cup. It then builds three concepts in SVG, sets them against a library of more than 1,400 classified logos so they resemble no other, and tests them at tiny size and in a single colour. It recommends its favourite, but you choose: the full kit (colours, lockups, favicon, app icons, guidelines) is produced only after you pick.
Strengths
- Asks the brief questions before drawing, which no one-sentence request does
- Delivers SVG, tested at 16 pixels and in a single colour, with a stop where you choose before the full kit
- MIT licence and multi-agent: Claude Code, Claude.ai (zip), Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, Cursor
Limitations
- The library comparison lowers resemblance, it does not replace a trademark prior-rights search
- The logos in the library are trademarks of their owners, outside the MIT licence: reference and study only
- The repo is recent and quality depends on a model that can see images; PNG or ICO export needs an installed renderer
Best for
- A personal brand, a side project or a mock-up stage product that needs a clean first logo
- Learning the method of an identity brief by watching an agent run it
- A designer who wants three defensible directions to discuss with a client before drawing by hand
