Task Observer
A meta skill by Eoghan Henn (Rebelytics), under CC BY 4.0, that watches your working sessions with Claude. It records what repeats, the corrections you make and the calls you settle, then derives two things: candidates for new skills, and improvements to the ones you already have. It changes nothing on its own: it keeps an observation log and submits proposals you accept or not. For Claude Code, copy the folder into `.claude/skills/task-observer/` (project) or your user skills, keeping its `references/` and `scripts/` subfolders.
Strengths
- Starts from your real corrections, not from a test set you have to build
- Proposes, does not edit: every skill change goes through your approval
- Also spots repeated tasks that deserve a new skill
Limitations
- Oversized while you only have a few skills
- No measurement: a proposal is not proven better, judging it is your job
Best for
- Maintaining a skill library that grew faster than you review it
- Capturing a team's recurring calls to write them into its skills
- Spotting which tasks you redo every week finally deserve their own skill
