Unslop
A skill for Claude Code and Codex, released by designer Damir Sokolovsky under CC BY 4.0, that takes an interface that smells of AI and lifts it into a designed one. It does not generate a fresh page: it starts from yours. First pass, the audit: it lists every sign that gives away automatic generation (purple gradients, glows, emoji standing in for icons, shouty copy, uneven spacing) and says where each one appears. Second pass, the direction: it proposes a visual character deduced from your product and waits for your approval before touching the code. Then it fixes in a fixed order: spacing, color, icons, copy, type, layout, details, visuals, motion. Two extras. It can generate a hero scene or object through an image service (fal, Replicate, OpenAI, Higgsfield), asking before each paid generation, and the repo itself says a dashboard almost never needs one. And it produces a square video under ten seconds of your page transforming, ready to post, provided you have Playwright and ffmpeg. That video is what went round the networks: the launch tweet of 30 October 2026 passed 526,000 views, the repo sat at 9,500 stars on 5 November. Seen in [Instagram reel DfW7A-kh_lJ](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DfW7A-kh_lJ/) (LeMondeDuMarketing), which announces 'more than 9,000 people in 3 days'.
Strengths
- A named, located audit of AI tells before any change, usable on its own on an existing page
- A visual direction proposed and approved by you before the first line of code is touched
- A fixed correction order, from structure (spacing, color) to decoration (visuals, motion), so the diffs stay readable
- Works in Claude Code and Codex, two files to copy, CC BY 4.0 license that allows modification and commercial use
Limitations
- Overlaps Impeccable, Hallmark and Taste Skill: stacking two of these skills produces contradictory rules
- Image generation and the transformation video add third-party services (some paid), Playwright and ffmpeg, for an output that serves the post more than the page
- A twelve-commit repo, one author, one week old: the criteria can still move
Best for
- An AI-generated site or dashboard you find 'fine, nothing more' and have to show a client
- A vibecoder without a designer who wants the list of what gives them away, not a replacement theme
- A team design review: the audit output serves as a shared grid before arguing about taste
