Claude Duet
Anthropic app, launched on October 21, 2026 as a research preview, where Claude acts as a proactive agent: it comes to you instead of waiting for an instruction. Each morning it sends a short brief on what needs your attention, checks your connected apps (email, calendar, Slack, Stripe, Shopify) every few hours, and prepares the work: draft replies, scheduling, dashboards, web apps. It carries over the memory, skills and connected apps of your Claude account, and runs in a cloud virtual machine: your computer can be off. Built around Claude Opus 5.5.
Strengths
- It comes to you: a morning brief and alerts when something needs your attention, without you opening a chat
- Runs in the cloud, computer off, and carries over the memory, skills and connected apps of your Claude account
- Approval required before sending, paying, signing or deleting: it shows the exact action before doing it
Limitations
- Waitlist, US only, Pro and Max subscribers: not usable in France today
- Background checks eat your plan limits, with no separate quota announced
- Weaker on personal errands (booking tickets) and cannot yet show its browser, according to Anthropic
Best for
- A freelancer or manager juggling email, calendar and business tools who wants a daily brief without opening everything
