Coucou
A companion that lives in the Mac notch (or at the top of the screen on Windows and Linux), shows live what your coding agents read, edit and run, and lets you accept or refuse a permission request in one click without leaving your window. It follows Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and other agents; you can also drop a document on it to ask a question about it. The video also cites the events it surfaces without you opening anything: a Stripe payment landing, a deployment passing, a workflow failing. Seen in [Instagram reel DeUd-KXFTxj](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DeUd-KXFTxj/): the AI comes to you rather than the reverse, it hides while you work and waves ("coucou") when it needs your approval. The video announces Mac and Windows; the repo now also lists Linux, iOS (TestFlight) and Android (build from source).
Strengths
- Accept or refuse a permission without leaving your window: no more hidden terminal waiting in silence
- Follows about ten agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, OpenCode...) from one place
- Free and open source (MIT code), cross-platform
Limitations
- The quick click encourages reflex: the "Always" button grants a lasting permission
- Young project: unsigned Windows installer, macOS build not notarized at the last check
Best for
- Anyone running several coding agents in parallel and missing their permission requests
- Product profiles who start an agent and want to be warned without watching a terminal
