Figma Make Kits
Figma Make feature (April 2026) ingesting a DS, code, styles, variables, DTCG tokens, and exposing it as a consumable kit in Figma Make. The Make agent then generates screens consistent with your DS without fabricating non-existent components. Enterprise multi-brand target: 1 kit per sub-brand, agent routes automatically.
Strengths
- Full DS import: code + styles + variables + DTCG tokens in a single kit
- The Make agent composes from the kit, no fabrications of non-existent components
- Multi-brand native: 1 kit per sub-brand, automatic routing based on project context
Limitations
- Paid Figma feature (Dev Mode / Make), not available on free plan
- Still early (April 2026), exotic DS coverage (SwiftUI, Compose) limited vs React
- Targets Make-flow only, does not help Claude Code or Cursor in direct agentic IDE
Best for
- Marketing teams prototyping fast in Figma without a senior DS designer
- Multi-brand DS managers wanting to keep Make under control without banning its usage
