Papicons
A free (MIT) icon set drawn for Papillon, the open source school-life app that students use instead of Pronote. Works in React and React Native through the `@getpapillon/papicons` package: you import an icon and give it a size and a colour. Browse the catalogue at icons.papillon.bzh.
Strengths
- Gets your interface out of the template look that generators’ default icons give
- MIT licence: commercial use allowed, free, one-command install (`npm install @getpapillon/papicons`)
- Same API in React and React Native: an icon, a size, a colour
Limitations
- Short catalogue (112 SVGs on 1 November 2026): icons will be missing as soon as the product leaves the consumer-app mould
- Young, small project (24 stars, 0.2.x version, last change in May 2026): no long-term upkeep guarantee
- A single visual style: mixing with another set to fill gaps shows immediately
Best for
- A consumer React or React Native app that wants a visual identity without drawing its own icons
- A vibecoded project whose default icons give away its generated origin
