Realtime Colors
A free web tool, no account needed, that tries your palette on a real page instead of showing it as swatches. You pick five roles (text, background, primary for calls to action, secondary for less important buttons, accent for links and highlights), and the model site repaints live, in light and dark. It also sets heading and body typefaces with a type scale, then exports everything as CSS, Tailwind or SCSS, with colour formats from hex to OKLCH.
Strengths
- The palette is judged on a real page, in light and dark, not on swatches
- Direct export to CSS, Tailwind or SCSS, to hand straight to your agent
- Free with no account, plus a Figma plugin for those working in Figma
Limitations
- The model site stays generic: how it renders on your own components still needs checking
- Five colour roles is a base, not a design system with its states and shades
Best for
- A designer or PM settling a palette before kicking off an interface generation
- Checking a brand palette in dark mode before shipping it
